teenage filmography

Below projects created during my teenage/high-school years are separated into 4 categories which you can read about.

Note: Everything I filmed from the age of 14 - 19 is here, and most of the stuff is kind of embarrassing. I’m presenting these as a way to trace my filmmaking journey.

Blue-gate

A 4-part docu-series

BLUE-GATE is a four-part docu-series with a total run-time of 56 minutes. Two classmates and I developed this project over the course of three months during my junior year of High School (2018-2019). The project revolved around our high school’s outsourced cafeteria, Blue Leaf, and the purpose of our investigation was to reveal its inner workings and generally present the situation our cafeteria and school were in. The videos were published as part of our school’s student-run publication/magazine, El 107. Shortly after publishing the first of these episodes, our school administration mandated we take it down and prevented the publishing of the other three episodes. They have been unavailable to watch ever since.

While applying to college I wrote my Common App Essay about the lessons I learned from BLUE-GATE. For my Creative Producing application for Chapman Dodge, I wrote an essay about the making of BLUE-GATE and my experience undertaking this large project. Both papers are linked below.
